Farmville
December 4th, 2009 | by ahfischman |According to Baseball America, the Dodgers’ farm system is not nearly as good as it’s been in years’ past. In fact, according to their rankings, the Dodgers fall into the bottom half, and more specifically between 16 and 25 with regard to the potential of their minor league prospects.
Baseball America is set to release their Top 10 Prospects soon. This feature names the best 10 prospects from each organization. Until they do, take a look at Phil Gurnee’s list: Top LAD Prospects.
Gurnee, of TrueBlueLA, did not think it made sense to compare pitchers and hitters, so he made two separate lists. If you did not click on the previous link, I’ve taken the liberty of listing Gurnee’s top 5:
Pitchers: 1. Scott Elbert (I know you know Elbert!) 2. Chris Withrow 3. Aaron Miller 4. Ethan Martin 5. Joshua Lindblom
Hitters: 1. Dee Gordon 2. Ivan De Jesus 3. Trayvon Robinson 4. Andrew Lambo (More on The Great Lambino coming soon) 5. Xavier Paul (I know you know X to the P!)
