Halladay to Phillies Reportedly Close
December 14th, 2009 | by ahfischman |According to two inside sources, a three-way deal that would send Roy Hallday to the Phillies is very close to being done. In the trade, the Seattle Mariners would receive Cliff Lee, and the Toronto Bluejays, who have been shopping Halladay for some time now, will end up with three highly touted prospects.
It is also believed that the deal is contingent on Halladay’s agreement to sign a three-year extension with the Phillies. Without the extension, Halladay would become a free agent at the close of the 2010 season.
Stay tuned for more details and analysis.
